Personal Testimony regarding the Fireproof Movie
As the Outreach Pastor of our church I was asked if I wanted to see the preview showing of Fireproof. So my wife Carmi and I went to the showing. The movie touched both of us tremendously. It was a reminder of where we have fallen short in our relationship and how precious our marriage was to both of us. The movie had a dramatic impact on both of us, but especially my wife. After watching the movie I felt very strong that our small church (around 110 members) should help sponsor a showing of the movie. We decided on buying 200 tickets. But when a member of our church heard that if we purchased 300 tickets we could have the movie auditorium for ourselves and give an altar call, they paid for 100 tickets themselves.

We did not have anyone accept Christ at the showing of the movie, but latter received many comment from couples who were touched by the movie (a pastor of a small church was able to bring their members to the movie) and we were able to start a Relationship Bible Study. From that Bible study we were able to get some church attendees into a cell group (home fellowship) and interested in enrolling in our School of Leaders discipleship program. A couple who teaches marriage seminars attended the movie, attended our relationship Bible study, and are now creating curriculum to use with the movie.

The Fireproof Movie was playing for over 2 months at one of our theaters here in the Seattle area. That is a real testimony considering how liberal this area is, especially in regards to homosexuality.
